Introducing Christ Church

Welcome to Christ Church. We are a Church of England church of approximately 200 members, serving a parish which stretches from near the centre of St Albans, Hertfordshire, out to the northern edge of the town. Our base is our purpose-built, in 1979, non-traditional church building, pictured here, referred to as the Church Centre.

In this website we hope you will find a warm welcome as well as a comprehensive guide to what we do and why.

We believe in being Christians seven days per week, not just on Sundays. This means that although Sunday services are important to us, details about them are tucked away under the Worship & Teaching menu at the top of this page. If you want to know more about our flavour of 'being church', look under About Us, where you'll also find a form to send us an email. The Activities and Children & Youth menus both give more details of other things we do, and Using the Centre should be your destination if you want to hire rooms in the building for occasional or regular meetings, or if you want to know about baptism, wedding or funeral services.
