Mission Communities (micos) are being established

as the way we do church away from Sundays.

So we are asking everyone to belong to one of these 5 initial communities:

SENIOR  COMMUNITY  FAMILY  YOUTH  GENDER

Each group is being asked to focus its life around mission to those in a particular set of people -

  • that is those over retirement age (SENIORS),
  • those who are local geographically (COMMUNITY),
  • those with young families (FAMILY),
  • teenagers and young adults (YOUTH)
  • and reaching out to men or women in different ways (GENDER)
  • you choose a group according to who you want to reachout to - not according to your situation
  • once the large mico is established then smaller mico-cells will meet as sub-groups for Christian discipleship and growth

We have had our initial meetings - each mico now arranging next meetings

COMMUNITY - meeting every couple of weeks over the Summer (for details see news sheet or talk to Jacqui in the office)

FAMILY - to meet again in September

GENDER - currently in abeyance

SENIOR - meeting again in September

YOUTH - meeting again in September
