Building Project

Back from Soul Survivor in Somerset to more feverish activity on site. Outside there are real drainpipes every where now and the lighting seems to work. Fantastic signage at the front - the clearest we have ever had. today the cobbles have been laid for the disabled parking spaces. Looking good. I know stuff is happening on the inside too - but it all still looks frustratingly incomplete. there are ceilings and floors but nothing quite ready.

Some blokes are in this morning - it looks like working on ceiling in entrance and floor in main hall. We shall see.

... and aint it beautiful?

Yes it was great thank you very much.  Loads of work done on building whilst away mainly internal but the builders cabins have been moved in order to facilitate landscaping. New door between link corridor and old CC Centre entrance; ceilings going up, tiling in loos, kitchen cupboards etc, skirting boards - all the second fix stuff. Here's some photos.

So much going on on site now - kitchen, plaster, loos, painting windows, panel for office - the paths, landscaping. All action with one or two unexpected delays underneath ... here are photos.

43 solar panels now in place (its a prime number so what pattern are the panels in given that they are in ordered rows?) and painting has begun. There is an undercoat all over the building from what I can see at a distance. Also landscaping continues and quite soon the builders cabins will be moved to the car park so that they can complete. Completion date is now officially 19 August ... which looks a sensible target.

and plenty more pathway being done.

What do you think to these, people? The photo-voltaic (solar) panels are nearly fitted. They should have paid for themselves within 15 years.

Why would anyone do this?
